Questions and answers

The things people ask us most, before and after they pay. If your question is not here, contact us.

For job seekers

How much does it cost?

2.990 ISK, paid once. It includes VAT. Employers pay nothing, and there is no other charge.

Why do I pay before I have a job?

The fee pays for a person to read your profile and match it to postings for as long as you are looking. It is not a placement fee and it does not depend on you being hired.

What happens after I pay?

A person at ÍSA reviews your profile within one working day. Then we email you when an approved posting fits.

Who sees my name and CV?

Nobody, until you agree. Employers see your role, sector, experience, area, start date, languages and permit status. When an employer asks for you, we ask you first.

I do not have a permit yet. Can I still sign up?

Yes. Choose “I need an employer to sponsor a permit” in your profile. Employers see that status before they ask for you.

Can I change my profile later?

Yes, any time from your dashboard. Changes are reviewed again within one working day.

Payment

How do I pay?

By card through Teya, a licensed payment provider. We never see your card number.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes, by email as soon as the payment goes through.

Can I get a refund?

If your payment fails, nothing is charged. Once a person has reviewed your profile, the fee is not refunded. See the terms of service.

For employers

Is posting really free?

Yes. Posting, seeing matched candidates and asking for contact details are all free.

How long does review take?

About one working day. We email you when the posting is live, or with a question if something is missing.

Can I see a candidate’s CV before I ask?

No. You see the profile first. When you ask and the candidate agrees, you get the name, contact details and CV.

Still have a question?

Email, call or visit. We answer within one working day.
